Based on mind/body medicine and meditation science, Calm Birth offers a dynamic vision of the woman's body and potential in childbirth. Three practices work together to offer a new form of birth. The trainings were started in 1998 in Southern Oregon hospitals, and today are offered in various American cities. Calm Birth is complementary medicine and integral medicine. It's for medical birth and natural birth. It's childbirth for the 21st century.

I attended the Calm Birth teacher certification training in New York in April 2008 and found it to be an enlightening and empowering experience. Not only did I find the material incredibly well researched and expertly presented but the incredible women I met through attending the course - Doulas, Labour and Delivery Nurses, Midwives - were truly inspiring. I would recommend this course to the most well educated and discerning of Child Birth professionals.
